This edition of the work was commissioned by the art project OPEN WATER, which aims to visualize possibilities of “water” through cross-disciplinary research in culture, society, city, and environment. The first outdoor presentation of “Takai no Irie,” this performance took place at the mouth of Arakawa River. The Arakawa runs at the border of two prefectures, which is also the boundary between river and water as well as water and sky at the full moon night.
